Pipedrive vs Close CRM in 2026
Pipedrive wins when the motion is a visual pipeline. Close wins when the floor still lives on the phone. HubSpot Free is the third fork if nobody will pay per seat.

Verdict
Pick Pipedrive if a few sellers need stages, activities, and automation without a marketing cloud — and nobody is living in a power dialer. Pick Close if the motion is calling and SMS from the same record and you will actually use the dialer. Do not pick Close because a podcast said “outbound.” Do not pick Pipedrive Ultimate to impersonate a revenue platform.
This is not HubSpot vs Pipedrive — that page exists. HubSpot Free is still the right first file if the founder is the only closer and will not pay per seat. Zoho is the cost-sensitive fork if someone will administer it. We will not rank AI email writers. Those stay on Aiacent.
Public pricing as of September 20, 2026
Pipedrive annual list: Growth $14, Premium $39, Ultimate $59, Enterprise $79 per seat/month. Monthly costs more. Confirm pipedrive.com/en/pricing. Five people on Premium is $195/month on that card.
Close publishes per-seat plans on close.com/pricing (typically starting in the low tens of dollars per seat on annual terms, stepping up for calling and coaching). We will not freeze a stale third-party figure. Confirm calling minutes and dialer extras on the live card before you model it against Pipedrive Premium.
- Five seats, Pipedrive Growth: $70/month annual.
- Five seats, Pipedrive Premium: $195/month annual.
- Five seats, Close: write the live annual number next to Premium. If you will not use the dialer, Close is usually more product.
- HubSpot Free: $0 if a contact file is the job.
Pipeline vs dialer
Pipedrive’s product is the board: stages, rotting deals, activity reminders, and automations on Premium. Agencies, contractors, and product shops under 50 buy it because reps will update a pipeline they can see. It will not become a power-dialing floor.
Close’s product is the conversation: calling, SMS, email sequences, and coaching on the same lead. Inbound-and-meeting-link teams will hate it. Phone-heavy outbound teams will wonder why anyone bought a pretty kanban. Shared inboxes show up when you have more than one closer.
Who should pick which
- Visual pipeline, meetings, proposals: Pipedrive Growth or Premium.
- The floor still dials: Close — confirm minutes.
- Founder-only closer, no seats: HubSpot Free.
- Marketing will share the database this year: HubSpot Starter, with eyes open on contact limits. See HubSpot vs Pipedrive.
- Residential real estate lead ponds: Follow Up Boss, not this fork.
- You will not administer anything: stay in a spreadsheet until that is a lie.
