Best CRM for financial advisors (2026)

An RIA needs households, reviews, and a file a CCO will open. A generic sales cloud will not hold a household.

By Gregory GreensteinUpdated September 20, 2026Affiliate disclosure

Advisor CRM fails when households, notes, and the custodian each live in a different tab. The job is: one people-and-account file, a review that happens, and (for RIAs) a compliance-minded workflow — not a pipeline toy.

Wealthbox and Redtail are advisor-native. HubSpot and Pipedrive are generalist skip-ifs. Salesforce Financial Services Cloud stays off as enterprise.

Prices as of September 20, 2026. We will not rank AI note-takers as a buying criterion. Those stay on Aiacent. Not investment advice.

Wealthbox

Independent RIAs that want a modern advisor CRM with a published card

8.4 / 10

Public pricing: Basic $59/user/month; Pro $75; Premier $99; Enterprise custom. 14-day trial. AI notetaker add-on marketed at $49/user/month intro — confirm wealthbox.com/pricing. We do not treat the add-on as a reason to buy.

Your BD or OSJ already standardized on Redtail and will not switch. Or you only needed a contact file — HubSpot Free.

Why it ranks

  • Households, workflows, and email sync are first-class on Pro.
  • A published four-rung card. You can defend Pro in a partner meeting.
  • A known brand when you hire from another RIA.
  • Migration is a product they sell — still a project.

Watch-outs

  • Basic is thin if you need workflows. Model Pro at $75.
  • AI add-ons are extra and not why we rank it.
  • Custodian integrations vary. Map yours.
  • Not a portfolio accounting system.

02

Redtail

Firms that want the legacy advisor CRM with a cheaper published floor

8.2 / 10

Public pricing: Launch $39/user/month billed annually ($45 monthly), max 5 users. Growth $59 annual ($65 monthly), unlimited users — imaging, workflows, Speak texting. Enterprise custom. Confirm redtailtechnology.com/pricing.

You want a modern UI more than a $39 Launch seat. Wealthbox is the other desk.

Why it ranks

  • Launch at $39 annual is the cheap specialist floor — if you stay at five users.
  • Growth adds the compliance-adjacent extras (texting, workflows) most firms actually need.
  • Hundreds of integrations and a hiring market that already knows it.
  • Six users forces Growth. Model that, not Launch.

Watch-outs

  • Launch’s five-user cap is a trap the week you add an associate.
  • UI is not why anyone picks Redtail.
  • Speak and imaging live on Growth. Read the grid.
  • Leaving later is a conversion project.

03

HubSpot CRM

Advisors who already have a compliance CRM and only want a marketing contact file

6.8 / 10

Public pricing: Free CRM $0. Starter Customer Platform list $20/seat/month. Professional hubs add onboarding.

HubSpot pricing (hubspot.com/pricing/crm), reviewed September 20, 2026.

You store households, reviews, or advice notes here. HubSpot is a general CRM. It will not become Wealthbox.

Why it ranks

  • Free is enough for seminar follow-up if Redtail already holds the household.
  • Email logging without an advisor-CRM sales cycle.
  • A path into marketing later — also the trap.
  • Fine as a layer, not a replacement.

Watch-outs

  • No native household/account object built for RIAs.
  • Contact-tier math surprises firms that import old lists.
  • Two systems of record need a rule — and a CCO opinion.
  • Do not buy Marketing Hub Professional to look like a fintech.

04

Pipedrive

Insurance-plus-advice shops that sell like a pipeline and keep compliance elsewhere

6.6 / 10

Public pricing: Annual list: Growth $14, Premium $39, Ultimate $59, Enterprise $79 per seat/month. Confirm pipedrive.com/en/pricing.

Pipedrive official pricing, reviewed September 20, 2026.

You are an RIA. Pipedrive is a sales CRM. It will not become Redtail.

Why it ranks

  • A pipeline sellers will update — the BD half of a hybrid shop.
  • Published seats.
  • See Is Pipedrive worth it if you are not in this vertical.
  • Fine next to a custodian portal, not instead of one.

Watch-outs

  • You will rebuild households by hand.
  • Compliance texting and advice notes are not the product.
  • Two systems of record need a CCO rule.
  • Wrong aisle for a registered investment adviser file.

How we picked

The job is a US advisor file: households, notes, reviews. We scored advisor-native vs generalist and published-price honesty. Orion and Salesforce FSC stay off as platform bake-offs. AI note-takers are Aiacent.
