Best CRM for photographers (2026)
A studio needs a lead, a date, and a retainer. A generic sales cloud will not hold a wedding. Invoicing is the sibling page.

Photographer CRM fails when inquiries live in Instagram, the contract is a PDF, and the retainer is a Venmo. The job is: capture the lead, send a proposal, collect a signature and a deposit, then run the shoot without rebuilding the couple in three apps. This page is the people-and-booking file. Photographer invoicing is the sibling if AR is the only leak — same tools, invoice-shaped skip-ifs.
HoneyBook wins when the client flow is the product. Dubsado wins if you will build workflows. 17hats is the all-in studio suite. HubSpot is the generalist skip-if. We will not rank AI editing, culling, or writing tools. Those stay on Aiacent.
Wedding-planner CRM is the cousin if you plan, not shoot. Appointment scheduling is the cousin if you only needed a booking link. Do not buy a studio OS to get Calendly.
Prices as of September 21, 2026. Card fees on an $8,000 wedding are the second price. This is not tax advice. We are not your accountant.

01
HoneyBook
Photographers who sell packages, book dates, and collect retainers in one client view
Public pricing: HoneyBook publishes starter and team plans on honeybook.com/pricing. Promotional months appear. Confirm the live official page.
HoneyBook official pricing, reviewed September 21, 2026.
Skip if
You only send two commercial invoices a month and never schedule. FreshBooks is cheaper. See photographer invoicing.
Why it ranks
- Lead, proposal, contract, invoice, and scheduler share a client — the wedding job.
- Retainers and payment schedules match how photographers actually get paid.
- Looks like a studio, not a sales cloud a couple will bounce from.
- Same reason it ranks first on photographer invoicing and wedding-planner CRM.
Watch-outs
- Your CPA may still want QBO or Wave at year-end.
- Read card fees before an $8,000 wedding.
- Team plans exist. Model them before you hire a second shooter as staff.
- Overkill for a hobbyist with four sessions a year.
02
Dubsado
Studios that will build workflows, questionnaires, and a client portal
Public pricing: Dubsado publishes plan tiers on dubsado.com/pricing. Confirm the live card — packaging has moved.
Dubsado official pricing, reviewed September 21, 2026.

You will not configure it. An empty Dubsado is a worse CRM than HoneyBook on default.
Why it ranks
- Workflows and questionnaires are first-class if you will use them.
- A known brand among wedding photographers who outgrew a pretty proposal tool.
- Portals sit next to the invoice so couples stop emailing “what’s next.”
- Useful when HoneyBook’s defaults feel like a cage.
Watch-outs
- Setup is a project. Budget a week.
- Still not a ledger.
- Processing fees apply.
- Two systems of record is how follow-ups die.
03
17hats
Studios that want one published all-in suite
Public pricing: 17hats has published a straightforward monthly studio price (commonly cited around $60/month). Confirm 17hats.com.
17hats official site, reviewed September 21, 2026.
Skip if
You already live in HoneyBook and the couple flow works. Do not migrate for a feature list.
Why it ranks
- One login for leads, jobs, invoices, and a to-do list.
- A known name when you hire from another studio.
- Less “configure a platform” than Dubsado for some owners.
- Fine when you want a suite, not HubSpot plus three apps.
Watch-outs
- Confirm the live sticker. Old $60 posts go stale.
- Not a marketing automation cloud.
- Your CPA still wants a file.
- Leaving later is an export project.
04
HubSpot CRM
Studios that already have HoneyBook or Dubsado and only want a marketing contact file
Public pricing: Free CRM $0. Starter Customer Platform list $20/seat/month. Professional hubs add onboarding.
HubSpot pricing (hubspot.com/pricing/crm), reviewed September 21, 2026.
Skip if
You store contracts, dates, or retainers here. HubSpot will not become HoneyBook.
Why it ranks
- Free is enough for inquiry follow-up if the studio OS holds the job.
- Email logging without a studio-CRM sales cycle.
- A path into marketing later — also the trap.
- See Is HubSpot CRM worth it if you are not in this vertical.
Watch-outs
- No native wedding/date object.
- Contact-tier math surprises studios that import old inquiry lists.
- Two systems of record need a rule.
- Do not buy Marketing Hub Professional to look like a media company.
How we picked
The job is a US photographer people file: inquiry, proposal, signature, deposit, date. We scored studio OS vs general CRM and published-price honesty. This is complementary to photographer invoicing — that page answers “which bill.” This page answers “which client record.” AI culling stays on Aiacent.
Who should skip this page
- You only needed AR — photographer invoicing.
- Wedding planners — wedding-planner CRM.
- Commercial shooters who invoice like consultants — consultant invoicing.
- Anyone buying AI editors as a CRM substitute.
